It’s well-documented in business today that poor customer service impacts customer retention, referrals and potential new business. Social media has given consumers an open forum to share both good and bad product and service experiences to all who will listen. The same can now be said for discerning job seekers and employees, and for too long candidate and employer experience has been given little attention. What's clear in the research today from the likes of Talent Board and other research firms -- negative candidate experiences can prevent qualified people from applying again, referring others and making purchases of consumer-based businesses. And poor employee experiences can lead to low employee engagement, dismal productivity and poor retention.
