Much of today’s innovation in HR technology is coming from entrepreneurs so new to the industry you probably haven’t heard of them. Startups often have a hard time attracting attention or securing business deals, which is why HR Tech is giving them a chance to promote their new ideas and services at the 2nd Annual Pitchfest.
If you’re not familiar with the HR Tech Pitchfest, it’s similar in concept to ABC’s popular TV show Shark Tank. The Pitchfest gives HR technology startups a few minutes to present their innovative products for the chance to win $30,000 and other great prizes. In fact, Shark Tank investor Barbara Corcoran will even make an appearance at this year’s competition!
For HR and IT leaders, the Pitchfest offers a great opportunity to see these early-stage solutions that you may not hear about otherwise. Last year attendees were introduced to 30 startups including Blendoor which won the inaugural competition. Blendoor CEO and Founder Stephanie Lampkin showed off her company’s innovative app that uses augmented intelligence and people analytics to help organizations hire and manage a diverse workforce. Recently, Stephanie debuted at #34 on the 2018 Fortune 40 Under 40 List and has Salesforce, Google and Airbnb among her clients.
Attendees of the 2019 HR Tech Conference will be able to see the ideas, products and services from 30 innovative startups from around the world in this year’s Pitchfest. Contestants will be announced in the fall.
